ICAP Maximus Extends Lead

Since rounding the lighthouse at Fastnet Rock off the coast of Ireland ICAP Maximus has built a lead of almost 6 hours over it's main rival for line honours Skandia Wild Thing despite a lack of wind. Maximus rounded early Monday morning at 03:33:00 with Skandia passing through 5 hours 45 minutes and 56 seconds later at 09:18:56.

Clearly the EBS team are happy with their current position, the last report from onboard had the 100ft maxi still negotiating very light conditions managing just over 4 knots of boat speed in the early stages of the leg that sees the fleet make it's way down to the Scilly Isles before heading back to the finish in Plymouth.
