Favorable Winds In The Closing Stages

ICAP Maximus has been enjoying a more favorable weather pattern throughout the night seeing boat speeds of up to 16 knots as they close in on the finish line.

With the sun just coming up on Wednesday morning and with a current boat speed of over 15 knots the team are predicting to complete the remaining 34 miles by approximately 0745 which bar failure should see ICAP Maximus take line honours in the 2005 Rolex Fastnet Race.

With no positional reports for Skandia Wild Thing available since rounding the Fastnet Rock on Tuesday morning it is anyone's guess exactly how big the lead Maxims has at this point.
