Mid Week Review - Cork Week
[
19 / 07 / 2006 ]
2006 Cork Week is now in full swing and is providing some great racing. Reports from aboard Maximus have been very positive despite more light air sailing at times. The team did experience some more favorable conditions as reported by skipper Charles Brown after Tuesdays events had come to a close.
A great days racing at last some breeze!! Today we experienced between 12 and 16 knots sea breeze. We had two guns finishing about 20 mins ahead of next boat in first race and 25 in second. The races took us about an hour sailing nice triangle windward lewards! Beautiful sunny day and the Irish hospitality has been exceptional!
Wednesday provided the teams best result of the regatta with a second behind the TP 52 Panthera seeing EBS Yachting sitting in 5th place on series points just 4 points behind Maligaya. Photo Credit: Laura Razzano
