The Worlds Best Gather In Sardinia

The best the yachting world has to offer have arrived in Sardinia and are ready to do battle in the 2006 Maxi Yacht Rolex Cup. This will be without doubt the toughest test EBS Yachting and Maximus have ever faced as Bill Buckley and Charles Brown line up against the elite of the international sailing and business worlds.

This year sees not only a record number of Maxi's but also the highest quality field possible with names like Bob Oatley's Wild Oats XI and Neville Crichton's Alfa Romeo amongst this star studded field. The combined trophy case of these these two giants and Maximus alone is quite staggering with victories in the Transatlantic Challenge and Fastnet (Maximus), Sydney to Hobart (Wild Oats) and Giraglia Rolex Cup (Alfa Romeo) to name but a few highlights.

If that's not enough prestige for you add the successes of Mike Sanderson and ABN Amro One to

the mix, hot off their victory in the Volvo Ocean Race. There will also be a touch of history to the field this year with the legendary New Zealand Endeavour and Steinlager 2, two older round the world race winners also be competing in the Division. This years Maxi Yacht Rolex Cup is sure to be an amazing spectacle and we will have all the up to the minute results and news right here at supermaxi.co.nz
