the current holder of the Auckland to Fiji and Auckland
to Port Villa race records.

Bill
Buckley
Bill is the owner and managing Director of Buckley Systems
limited,
www.buckleysystems.com. one of the world’s leading
and most innovate successful precision Engineering and
Nuclear physics companies.
He is a former NZ motorcycle
champion and like Charles has a passion for winning.
His company is involved in
design and R&D for numerous innovative projects
including amphibious vehicles, racing motorcycles and
leisure craft, Both men know what its like to win and
will never accept second best.
Dedicated to their challenge
Charles and Bill are fully focused on their objective
to create the fastest lightest most technologically
advanced Ocean racing Super maxi yacht. With one target
“ in 2005, to conquer the world against all contenders.
They chose to limit the overall
length to 30 .5 meters ( 100 feet ) in line with a world
trend among owners to limit the length but not attempt
to regulate any other aspect of performance.
Design
Team
The Partners promoted the design brief to the world’s
best-known race yacht designers and in the final analysis
selected Greg Elliot from New Zealand.
Greg’s designs are world renown; they demonstrate
scant regard for rating rules and focus on speed performance
safety and balance. The most recent example of Greg’s
design skill is Mari Cha IV
Greg’s design team includes
Clay Oliver, Naval Architect and Chris Mitchell, Spa
Engineer.
The composite Engineers are High Modulus Limited.
Southern Spas Racing, for the Wing mast composite design
and build.
North Sails NZ for sail manufacture.
Construction
